Real Examples of Societies Without Government

Foster, I listened to your imaginary list of what society would be like without a government and I wonder why you don’t look at the actual examples of what life was like in places where the governments were destroyed and the people were free from government tyranny in large areas of their countries for a number of years. I’m talking, of course, about Somalia and Libya. If you don’t know about the horror that followed their freedom from government, you should really read up on it.

I worked in Libya When Muamma Gadaffi was in power, whatever clandestine activities Gadaffi may or may not have sponsored, I believe that he did a lot of good for Libya and the people. The Libyan Dinar I seem to remember at a high in Libya, about two GB Pounds or around US$4 at one time, if my memory is correct, since Gadaffi planned to back the Libyan Dinar with a gold standard, that may have been his greatest sin.

I think the point is, that there should be a transition period of “limited government” - meaning - that within a new society wherein people are weaned off their tendencies toward violence (by means of channeling their focus toward voluntary-volunteerism), there would be a form of benevolent-militia who would apprehend all those who are not sticking to the non-aggression principles.

Such people would ideally be transported to a fortified (albeit benevolent) island, and perhaps taught to channel their violent streaks into productively farming plots of land on that island or whatever outlets are most suited to any particular “convict”.

As for the extremely-brutal blue-collar (or psycopathic white-collar) criminals among them, I’m clueless as to how they should be dealt with. The world has become very complex and scary.
