As a new member of this community, I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself here.

I got very excited about Maxwell’s news which he published the 11th of February. That same day I made my decission to change my business to helping solopreneurs migrate their proprietary tools to open-source self-hostable tools. Somewhere last year I already saw one of the Thrive movies and today making that connection with Maxwell got me very curious to being here.

I believe self-hosting software on your own server is one of many steps to take to move to this new world we all want to live in. It avoids being taken hostage to accept new privacy policies, price increases or other type of things that SaaS can pull off to increase their own revenue instead.

I noticed yesterday that Free to Thrive uses Ghost CMS for the blog content and earlier today Baserow in one of the blogposts that lists news sources. Both tools having the ability to self-host and that got me extra excited to join this community!! 😁

You as a reader, have you ever thought or heard of self-hosting? I’m very curious.

Hi Ronald…no I haven’t heard of that. Regarding Maxwell Chikumbutso, I have an email out to his CEO. I am very interested in collaborating with Saith Technologies.
