Recently, BKJones stated well the argument to improve on a constitutionally framed governance. However in the context of Free to Thrive, I suggest a different and more appropriate framework.
It is one that is more consistent with the ideal of no governance. In this framework only voluntary association, and mutual consent for public and private agreements and contracts prevails. In this frame only the local community has a polity authority to elect a sheriff, a coroner or a magistrate. A community polity authority could propose the adoption of a fire department or a court house, a jail, or public contract utilities.
The title Citizen would designate a resident’s role as member of the local assembly. Those individuals would be officially sworn to uphold the non-aggression principle and sworn to respect and honor the sovereignty of the community residents.
The assembly would be populated by citizens of the community of sovereign residents. No resident would be compelled to adopt any of the assembly’s proposed budget or actions. However the advantages of compliance would be for instance, not having to negotiate with the fire department at the time of a fire emergency.
In a local community individuals are known by their character and reputation. Newcomers to the community would be well scrutinized by neighbors, so aggressive tendencies would be immediately observed, sanctioned or disarmed. If needed, that individual would be given an armed escort to the community border and well advised not to return.
Taking this a bit farther, a community would have an interest to join in confederation with other communities, where mutual benefit is paramount. An example could be inter-community road and bridge construction or mutual defense and safety agency. These issues would proceed by voluntary association and mutual consent.
Another function, a general insurance fund, either locally or regionally administered, could maintain prudent and ready common protective and preventative capabilities. Sovereign residents may choose not to participate. However in an emergency situation, they would depend on themselves for rescue or pay dearly for immediate, enlisted assistance against the danger.
This framework is eminently simpler and more effective than what a central, national or global constitutional republic has to offer, Granted this cannot come about without the foundation philosophical understanding of the Universal Logos for cosmology, psycho-epistemology and ontology. This is the province of the Unified Knowledge Worldview.
