“What’s the deeper truth behind a fragile “peace” in Gaza?”

There will never be lasting peace in the Middle East.

But we can only know this by answering the question, “What is true in the universe?”

(And, “How do we know? What is our infallible authority?”)

When we understand that there is a God, who created the material universe out of nothing,

and there are fallen angels in direct, unending spiritual conflict against God and His people,

and recognize that everything that happens in the world hinges on what the Creator is doing with ethnic national Israel,

then we will understand from His Word that He is making:

…Jerusalem a cup that causes reeling to all the peoples all around…And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it.

Zechariah chapter 12

Eventually a world leader will establish a 7-year treaty with Israel (Daniel chapter 9). But after 3.5 years he will renege on the treaty and persecute Israel (Daniel chapter 9, Revelation 12).

Despite their pledge, “Never again!”, two thirds of Israel will perish (Zechariah chapter 13) as God purges and cleanses and redeems ethnic national Israel Jeremiah chapter 30 verse 7), and pours out His wrath on the world (Revelation chapters 6 and following).

Note: One day Russia and its allies will move against Israel (Ezekiel chapters 38 & 39).

Presently Syria and Jordan are allies with Russia.

But Syria and Jordan are not listed as allies when the end comes (Ezekiel chapters 38 & 39).

Something has to change there.

We’re seeing it developing now in Syria.
